Our Guiding Light

Strong Humans Foundation Logo

The Strong Humans Foundation is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to empowering veterans, first responders, and their family and friends. Our goal is to provide opportunities for veterans and first responders to strengthen relationships with whoever they choose - whether family, friends, or loved ones. This inclusive approach sets us apart, as we believe healing happens best when shared with those who matter most. We foster healthy living and strong relationships in the aftermath of traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) through natural and holistic treatment methods and activities.

Our Mission

We synchronize and enhance already established 501(c)(3) organizations through retreats utilizing different modalities of treatment through holistic and natural means. Our approach combines therapeutic activities - from equine therapy and mountain hiking to scuba diving and hunting expeditions - with education on nutrition and healthy living. These retreats include holistic dietitians, counselors, and subject matter experts in each therapeutic modality.

Farm-Fresh Nutrition Education

1

Sourcing Farm-Fresh Foods

Learn how to identify, select, and source the highest quality farm-fresh ingredients. We teach participants how to build relationships with local farmers, navigate farmers' markets, and understand seasonal availability to ensure access to nutrient-dense, healing foods.

2

Meal Preparation Mastery

Our hands-on cooking workshops empower participants with practical skills to prepare nutritious, delicious meals using whole, unprocessed ingredients. From basic knife skills to advanced meal planning, we cover everything needed to maintain a healthy diet that supports mental and physical wellness.

3

Holistic Nutrition Guidance

Working with certified holistic dietitians, participants learn how proper nutrition can aid in managing PTSD and TBI symptoms. We focus on anti-inflammatory foods, gut-brain connection, and personalized nutrition plans that complement each individual's healing journey. We believe that food is medicine—providing evidence-informed, whole-person nutritional strategies to support optimal health, resilience, and performance.
