Our Guiding Light

Strong Humans Foundation Logo

The Strong Humans Foundation is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to empowering veterans, first responders, and their family and friends. Our goal is to provide opportunities for veterans and first responders to strengthen relationships with whoever they choose - whether family, friends, or loved ones. This inclusive approach sets us apart, as we believe healing happens best when shared with those who matter most. We foster healthy living and strong relationships in the aftermath of traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) through natural and holistic treatment methods and activities.

Our Mission

We synchronize and enhance already established 501(c)(3) organizations through retreats utilizing different modalities of treatment through holistic and natural means. Our approach combines therapeutic activities - from equine therapy and mountain hiking to scuba diving and hunting expeditions - with education on nutrition and healthy living. These retreats include holistic dietitians, counselors, and subject matter experts in each therapeutic modality.

👤 Meet Our Founder – Kenneth E. Huhman

Ken Huhman is a retired Chief Master Sergeant with over 30 years of combined service in the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Air Force, where he led elite special operations teams around the globe. A decorated combat veteran, Ken served in Afghanistan, Iraq, and numerous high-stakes missions, earning multiple Bronze Stars with Valor.

Ken's leadership didn't end with his military service. He's a mentor, a coach, and an advocate for those who continue to fight silent battles at home. His passion for building this foundation came from firsthand experience—witnessing the toll that combat takes on our heroes and the gap in natural, human-centered healing.

He founded the Strong Humans' Foundation to give warriors a new mission: healing.

🗣️ Founder's Testimony

Kenneth E. Huhman - Founder, Strong Humans' Foundation

"Through my healing journey—attending retreats and exploring different modalities of therapy—I've discovered that healing is not a one-size-fits-all solution. It's a continuous effort, and every person finds it in their own way.

For me, the most powerful breakthroughs have come when I was eating clean, moving my body in meaningful ways, and surrounding myself with people who had walked similar paths. That connection—to others and to nature—was key. It helped reduce my anger, increase my patience, and bring real peace into my life.

I've experienced firsthand how natural, holistic living can transform the way we feel, think, and relate to the world. This internal healing has strengthened my relationships with the people I care most about, and it's given me a deeper appreciation for life itself.

This is why I built the Strong Humans' Foundation: to offer others the chance to find their own healing path, surrounded by people who understand—and know that you don't have to carry the weight alone."
